HALLOWEEN TREE

Inspired by and lovingly dedicated to Ray Bradbury
Directed by Brian Rott & Chris MacGregor
Choreographed by Molly Mingey, Simon Andreas Eichinger, Chris MacGregor, and Brian Rott

October:  26, 27, 29, 30, 31
November:  1, 2, 3  at 8PM

The Milwaukee Fortress,

100 A E. Pleasant St.
Milwaukee, WI

A troop of young boys in hodgepodge costumes trick-or-treat their way through time and space in search of their best friend, Pipkin. The quest leads them around the world, through the origins of Halloween, and to the door of man's most primal fear, death. Will they find their lost friend, or turn into pumpkins themselves? This bone-chilling production addresses the duality of the holiday: our desire to venture into darkness and recoil into light.

Take in the views of dancing skeletons and listen to the notes of the accordion drift through the air alongside the smell of fresh cut pumpkin, all while enjoying a drink from the donation bar! Come in costume if you so desire!

Performances: Oct. 26, 27, 29*, 31*; Nov. 1, 2, 3 at 8 p.m. The Milwaukee Fortress, 100 A E. Pleasant St., Milwaukee, WI. Tickets: $13; Students, $10. *Special nights: Monday, Oct. 29: pay-what-you-can; Wednesday, Oct. 31: Halloween Gala.

Recently voted “Best Physical Theatre Troupe of 2012” by Milwaukee Magazine, The Quasimondo celebrates this spooky season and commemorates American writer Ray Bradbury in The Halloween Tree, inspired by Bradbury’s fantasy novel, Oct. 26 – Nov. 3, 2012 at The Milwaukee Fortress in the historic Brewers Hill neighborhood.

The Quasimondo challenges contemporary definitions of theatre through innovative, high-quality productions that explore different theatrical forms, techniques and styles. Nothing is off-limits – dance, puppetry, circus arts, original music and more are interwoven as old and new forms collide to create a rich theatrical tapestry. Halloween Tree follows a successful run of The Seagull 3D, The Quasimondo’s first production of its ambitions inaugural season.

The Quasimondo’s 2012 – 2013 season presents a diverse series of theatrical events that are pertinent and provocative, entertaining and evocative. We invite you to share with us in this “kind of world”
